It's time to get started!
Hello again!
I have sent home a copy of the school rules, behavior expectations, and my classrooom management plan home with students this week. If you haven't done so already, please sign and date each paper and sent it to school with your children.
I have learned quite a lot about your children this week and I love each and every one of them. I have a good feeling about this group of kids, we are going to have so much fun learning this year. It's time for me to become accquainted with you now. Back to school night is next week September 12, I look forward to meeting all of you. If you cannot attend, please contact me so we can meet at another date. As always feel free to comment below if you have any questions!
Welcome to Ms. Conrad's Second Grade Class!!
My name is Ms. Katelyn Conrad and have taught second grade for 2 years. I'm originally from New Jersey but I have lived in West Virginia since 2006. I graduated from Fairmont State University with an elementary education degree. I'm so excited for this upcoming year with you! I have created this blog for both students and parents to access all important classroom and school wide annoucements. Confidential information about individual students however cannot be discussed on this page so if you wish to speak with me about a confidential matter I am happy to speak with you through email, phone, or if you wish to set up an appointment to see me. My email is listed in the "about me" profile side bar on the left hand side. My classroom phone number is also given as well.
I will post daily homework assignments and project procedures to students who are absent or forgot to write the assignment down in class. Parents are also advised to read the daily homework postings as well to insure that parents know specifically what assignments have been assigned. I have found that this minimizes any miscommunications between teachers and students about what is expected to be finished for homework. I will also post weekly classroom and school wide announcements for upcoming events or any changes either to the school calender or any special additional events in the classroom.
Lastly, there are comment boxes under each posting and that is where you can write any comments on a specific matter of the post. Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions about anything that has been stated here or any of the handouts that have been sent home this first week of school. I look forward to hearing from you!
